How I Started:
I started training in Krav Maga (military self defense) 2 years ago, dropped a lot of body fat and developed some good core strength. I always considered myself to have a healthy lifestyle when it comes to food, but until I got serious and did hours of reading on bb.com, I never actually realized that eating healthy wasn't enough to change my body. (And also that cardio is over-rated). I decided in December 2008 that I finally want to make a BIG change and work towards my goals of having a strong, lean body that I can be damn proud of. Mainstream womens magazines tell u all the wrong things about fat loss and "toning" ur body- like do 10 squats per week and eat kellogs Special K for 2 weeks and get a flat stomach and smaller thighs. I finally educated myself and read a lot of articles on bb.com which has given me the right information to keep doing what I'm doing- and so far its been working. Whatever training plan you follow, whatever type of clean eating pattern u prefer, the key is consistency- THAT is what will get you where you want to be.
Why I Love It:
I don't always love it, but I love the results it brings. I was working out for years and saw ZERO progress, cuz there's so much misinformation out there, but now I finally know how to achieve what I want.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's actually harder to be motivated because England is cold and rainy all the time and our beaches aren't that special. But I have a solid goal in mind and thats what drives me- whenever I need inspiration or when I get insane sugar cravings (or when I'm just being greedy), I get on bodyspace and check out some of the ppl who inspire me on here- 1 peek of a 6 pack is enough to set me back on track.

Reaching one set of goals I set for myself when I joined Bodyspace. Now its time for some new goals...

Goal (Long):
I don't want to be soft or have just an average figure. There's nothing like a strong, sexy back- on both men and women, and I want one!
I want a muscular-esque type figure, so I want to bring out the best in my body. Target hotspots are quads and hams, glutes, abs and back, and basically everything in between.
Krav Maga IS my cardio, apart fromm when it involves doing strength training drills and body conditioning work.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Do your homework and read a lot about the important stuff- nutrition and the appropriate way to train. Once you commit to the best training plan for ur goals, stick with it and have patience.
My current training involves just legs and core work since I'm having to rest my shoulder due to injury.
I train legs twice a week and abs three times. Besides very light weights in my abs training, I'm not using ANY extra resistance beyond my own bodyweight until I've healed 100%.
Cheers doll :) Sorry for the rant the other day I was just sooo frustrated hehe. Decided to eat more food & add an extra set to most things and see how it goes, feeling good so far. Is there a reason you don't want to take medicine? I have a friend who's allergic to all meds, even painkillers. Are you still managing some kind of workout even though you're under the weather? Doing much for new year? xx
Al always approves alliteration......LOL. Cardio was REALLY on my mind today. See my long winded blog today. Too many people make lame excuses that they don't like doing it. Well, there's things I don't like doing in my job, but I do them anyway....
Thanks. Everyone has to wear that hat on their birthday. You can borrow it on your next one......LOL. Thank God I didn't have to blow out the full number of candles. Talk about testing how effective my cardio has been! Or burning the house down...
We had a blast. I do think my wife was ready to get me back to the office. I get a little stir-crazy if I'm at the house too long....Great times with family. How was yours?
Hey E, get well soon. I know how much it sucks - I'm just trying to get rid of flu myself. I cant stand not training! Still, it does our bodies good to have a little break I guess. Might try just some abs later - we'll see! Hope ur being more disciplined with eating right now than I am, lol! :(
Hey babes, yes and no. I seem to get better only to catch something else >< My weight doesn't seem to want to budge ether - nether up nor down though I guess I should be grateful that it isn't spiralling upwards considering I've been so inconsistent lately. I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels right now, making effort for nothing :(
do you do krav maga for self defense or do you use it for training as well? i definitely need to broaden my horizons maybe in some kind of martial art or kickboxing, i did think about boxing.. there are so many, how do you decide? :) just waiting to see what options i have for new years, no plans yet
yeah it is the "sexiness in a bottle" lol, i think our plans for new years is gona be last minute as always, probably end up at some random house party as usual, ur physique is stunning in this pic, u should be proud of all ur hard work :O)
oh yeah the whole religion thing, i dont follow it either but as i've got so many friends that do i tend top get involved just as an excuse to party lol, i got some hugo boss stuff, some clothes, etc nothing major, looking forward to new years ???? is this profile pic ur latest pic ??
