How I Started:
I got started lifting in the barn with makeshift weights...a gallon paint can full of cement etc.,anything we could find. We only looked forward...the energy and ambition was amazing, it was addicting.
Why I Love It:
The pump, The feeling, The Buzz. A great sport where I met a lot of good people. I enjoy the euphoria of pumping iron and the health benefits, kind of like an internal cleansing.
How I Stay Motivated:
from BB.com and the encouragement of BB friends. Day by day achievements turn into big accomplishments.

At one time I Trained with "the giant crusher", anybody remember who?? from Rochester, NY. I haven't trained in years and would like to get back into it. Who knows, maybe achieve an amateur status in three or four years...not sure what kind of age brackets there are. I need to lose 8-10 inches off my gut.

Had to stop lifting for a week, I have been getting some snap,crackle and pop in my left shoulder. Everything seems better for now.

Workout Program:
6-9 sets per body part trying to keep the reps lower to around
10 max, 5 or 6 (failure)on last set.

keeping it fresh by changing the routine every 30-45 days, 4 day cycle with maybe one day off if sore.

I have to burn some garbage before I can start building.

LOL, we're messaging each other at the same time. I use a similar exercise with my clients. Hanging the lower half of body off a flat bench & thrusting it toward the ceiling.

Well it changes from week to week. some weeks i do heavy weight low reps and other weeks i do light weights high reps. My trainer keeps me guessing. I do 30-60 min of cardio 6 days a week.

Wat up Big Dog!! Sorry about not hittin ya back so soon. I've been busy with a ton of stuff in my life right now..(mostly good stuff) but very hectic. My show is July 18th at Mesa Arts Center. About 6 mile from Tempe. Training is going great!! This old man has got a little life back in him!! 18 weeks out and right on track. Later Brother
