How I Started:
I began at age 16 (and 190 pounds!) at Ardizzone & Nally's gym... that was my first experience in a real gym. Since then I have lifted on and off since 2000.
Why I Love It:
The gym above all keeps me sane. Nothing feels better than pushing yourself to the limit covered in sweat and thinking of nothing else except completing the next rep with good form.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated though other's achievements and by waking up and my clothes feeling looser!
BB Accomplishments:
I have lost over 40 pounds and kept it off for the most part. Now I pushing it to the next level and honing my body, diet and mindset.

Goal (Long):
To boost my metabolism and have a body with which am comfortable.
I have been a "borderline" case for a long time and need to find out whatever it is I have to do diet or workout-wise to "dial it in" and achieve my goals. I have been in the gym on and off since I was 16 and was at 19% in 2006.... now I want to get past that plus take off the 20 extra pounds I have accumulated since then.
I still have the book and am still motivated by Lisa Lyon's "Body Magic" that I bought back in the 1980s (where is she now?). Although dated, I still recommend that book if anyone can find it. It's interesting within the scope of female bodybuilding.
