How I Started:
Within about a two year time frame I got married, became a father, got cancer, had a bout with depression, abused alcohol and got divorced. Within the same period I went from about 195lbs to 252lbs and a size 34 waist to a size 40. Shortly after I hit 252lbs I finally learned my lesson about one of the greatest sins you can commit, self pity. I started doing cardio 5x a week and dropped from 252lbs back to 195lbs over the course of about a year. I decided to start lifting weights because my 3yr old thinks his Dada is the strongest man on earth. (LOL!) I found myself liking it very much and even though I'm not the strongest man on earth, I still want to set a good example for my boy.
Why I Love It:
The amazing changes I see in the mirror, the sense of accomplishment, the pump and how healthy and strong it makes me feel.
How I Stay Motivated:
My boy and the mirror. I want to set a good example for my boy. For me there is nothing more important.

the time off should give your body time to heal all the nagging pains. i actually went to massage school a few years ago...so i know how to do quite a few types of massages but i hated doing it, not as fun as it sounds :)
