I was flipping through a MuscleMag International back in 1996 and I saw a body that I envied (Mike O'Hearn), it was perfect to me. I remember saying to myself, "One day I will look like this and I will start this journey today!" And ever since then I've been hitting the weights non-stop.
Why I Love It:
There is nothing more rewarding then sculpting and adding muscle to your body. It's like building your own dream home yourself, it's your work and your 100% in charge of it's progression. Secondly there are no limits, you can always tweak, change, add, sculpt, add when ever you want.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by setting goals. If I didn't have goals, I don't know where I would be now, honestly, you have to have goals to succeed. For example, I want to add an inch to my arm in the next 6-8mths, so I focus really hard on that, by studying and anaylzing every exercise possible to build the best arms in the shortest amount of time. I used to use magazines when I was younger I'm sure everyone has or still does, but now I'm so knowledgable about the area, the magazines start to become redundant rambling to me, so I don't look to those as much now. Mainly it's my own goals I set and that's it.
The results week after week are so prominent, that you keep going and going, and each week comes by with a new striation, or a deeper cut, or more mounds of encapsulated muscles waiting to stretch the fascia to grow to another level. And I can't forget this one, the PUMP, I will not leave the gym until I get a pump. The pump must be painful, the pump must feel as if my skin is going to rip right before me. Once I achieve this, it's time to consume those macronutrients to replenish those muscles, then repeat the next day, THAT'S MY MOTIVATION!
BB Accomplishments:
I have never competed, and would like to one day, but I would like to add some more mass before I do. I have won a couple strong man awards in college though, our college used to hold strongman competitions, basically comprised of deadlifts, bench, and your squat, you take your max from those and your weight, and that determined how strong you were compared with the rest of the group. Also in highschool during my time I set the highest bench, is it still there, who knows??? I mostly do it for self-gratitude, health reasons, and a positive self-esteem, those are accomplishments in themselves for I.

Man, you have awesome traps/pec/bi build. started NOX today to get there. Long way to go, but taking the steps to get there. Thanks for posting. Peace, Rich
I just came across your bodyspace page, and man I gotta tell you - you are a real inspiration.
What you said in your notes really is humbling and inspiring to me, since I have a very "excitable" personality, and it has always been tough for me to gain any real mass. I am on a great eating and workout plan now though (24 Hr Fitness in Austin, TX) and am making good gains.
You keep on goin, man! You've already got more than a lot of guys will ever have! Count yourself blessed!
Bill.
