I decided that I'm tired of looking OK and living an unhealthy lifestyle. I'm working towards my shallow goal of having a totally smokin' body, and my not so shallow goal of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Why I Love It:
I have more energy throughout the day, and it makes me feel great to see progress and accomplish goals.
How I Stay Motivated:
bodybuilding.com, reminding myself of great results to come, proving ney-sayers wrong <-- my favorite!
BB Accomplishments:
None thus far, but check back for updates! :)

I've never been athletic or regularly active, but somehow I haven't been a fatass. Now that I'm more active, I absolutely love it! My current goals include: sticking to a squeaky clean diet, increasing muscle mass, decreasing fat, & in turn, lowering my body fat percentage.
Hey everyone! I don't know who actually reads this, but I'll keep doing it for my own benefit..haha! :)
So I've changed my workout routine with the help of my Personal Trainer, Jason, & my new buddy Chris@UGA! Instead of having 2 routines that I switch between constantly, now I have 4!!...
I lift 4 days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri), and do low-intensity cardio 4-6 days a week.
If I do cardio after lifting, I only do 20-30 minutes on the bike or treadmill with some light resistance to keep my heart rate around 120-140. If it's an only cardio day, I'll do 45 minutes on the bike...
For what you're looking to accomplish diet & cardio are the most important things, and those are things you can always work even when life gets hectic. I've started scaling my calories back again in addition to all the running. Hopefully I'll be able to post a respectable time when I run my first official 5k. I'm looking at doing a night race in Macon the second week in July.
Hey Puja. Trainings going good but it involves me waking uop in the middle of the night to drink a shake as crazy as that sounds! How are things going for you?
Hah, no...My strength is pretty down after dieting for 3 months.
I'd love to come and watch though. I'll have to see how my work schedule is looking next week.
Saying a microbiologist is cooler than a chemist is like saying Kenny G is cooler than Michael Bolton. They are both drowning in the shallow end of the pool. Although from the looks of it, female microbiologists are much better looking than the female chemists....
I think you look great, so don't be so shy, that's my job, I'm the shy one here!;) I challenge you to a dual, If you put more of your pics up. I'll put more of mine up! We could start out with just street clothes or workout apparel. When one of is more comfortable we could move up to the next level, until we look like Adam & Eve! LOL :) what do you say? It's just a thought, keep up the hard work, you'll be in a bikini on a cover of a magazine in no time! :)
and can you tell I had a long weekend...you already told me what you did and I ask again! UGH! Sorry I promise I do/can read! So what did you cheat with? I love the funnel cakes there! SO bad but SOOOO good!
