How I Started:
I realized that I was getting really out of shape and that I am friends with all the football players and that are all really in shape and I don't want to live like the anymore. I was to gain more muscle and just be in better shape than I am currently (jan 2009)
Why I Love It:
It lets all my anger out and when I am having a bad day it just makes my day become some what better!
How I Stay Motivated:
Just looking at all the guys around me that are huge and saying to myself "that will be me very very soon!" and also all the people here on bodyspace that are there if you need anything. Its good to have people like that around.

Goal (Long):
By Summer time, I would like to achieve the following goals...
Lose 15lbs
1) Gain 1.5" on arms (Current 11")
2) Gain 3" on chest (Current 35")
3) Lose 3" around waist- (Current 33.5")
4) Get my Body Fat Percentage down to 20% (Current 25.25)
Ever since I was a little kid I had always looked up to the guys who's arms were popping out of their sleeves of their shirts and who would go to the pool with a bunch of people and not feel nervous about taking their shirts off. I believe that I can become one of those guys within the next 18 months.
Ok, so its a new year and I am really tired of being out of shape. This is a new year and I would love to have a more defined body by summer time. I would like to be one of those people that does not care to take their shirt of in public. Right now, I am just to out of shape to do anything. If...
lotsa protein, at least 6 meals a day, heavy weight/lower reps, and you gotta do legs. Everybody hates em, I hate em more than most, but if you don't hit your legs heavy your upper body wont grow. :)
its all comes down to ur nutrition and training. train hard 4 days a week and nutrient timing is key. U need to know when u need carbs and wen u dont and wen u need protein
Sorry for the double post. Thanks again for the props in inspiration. The Gold's where I'm lifting as some serious mass monsters there, some are probably competitive bodybuilders. Sort of been feeling small compared to them. So your comment was great a reminding we of where I've come. At least those monsters are a great inspiration. Have a good one! -T
Sounds great dude. Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I'm at my parents and they don't have internet. Oh well nice break, but here at a Starbucks surfing the net. Thanks for the props on the inspiration. I do sure hope you not only get up to my size and strength, but surpass me. Remember, you have the capability to get huge and strong in you already and I'm just a guide. Also remember to find what works for you even if I don't necessarily agree. Pyramid up with weight, 3 sets per muscle group, 4 workouts per muscle and do 8-10 reps per set. this is what Lou Ferrigno aka (the hulk) told me when I asked him for some tips!! I got to meet him a while back! oh yea and your diet is what really coounts. 40% complex barbs, 40% Protien and 20% fat. Eat every 2-3 hours! eat a lot of vegetables and fruit also!
Finally, never ever be timid when asking other lifters in the gym for advice. That's how we learn bro! If you find someone doing something that looks interresting ask em about it. If they turn their nose up to you F*** em man, they're just showing off and there's no room for show offs. Real Bodybuilders help each other!
SQUATS!!! Oh my God lil brother Squats are the body's natural Anabolic. It forces your body's natural muscle builders through the rest of your body causing everything else to grow too! SQUAT TIL YOU PUKE!!!
Next, when you go to the gym don't stop until you reach musle failure! Always work with a spotter and make sure you're using them! Bench til you can't hold the bar anymore. Curl til your spotter has to help you. USE YOUR SPOTTER MAN!!!
The first big piece of advice I can give is EAT LOTS OF PROTEIN MAN!!! Stay away from alot of carbs, sugars, and starches. Eat clean types of protein (chicken and fish). Only eat red meat on heavy days. Stick with green beans and dark greens. Eat peanut butter for essential fats, and oatmeal for carbs.
Little brother you're already getting a head start on all your buddies. I wish I would have been this serious about lifting when I was your age. Eat clean, Eat lean, and Train like a Machine! I'm here for advice, motivation, and inspiration if ya need me!
