Well I've been up and down in weight since my mid 20's and found out about the Body-for-Life program. I followed the program with sucess and loved the weight training so much, I decided to pursue natural body building. I however got pregnant at the begining of my training. In 2001 Pregnancy had left me with a 75lb weight gain that seemed almost impossible to drop (lack of dedication/time with new born). April of 2005 I lost my mom to cancer and I had hit 255lbs and was still gaining, I knew I had to change. Finally in 2006, I dropped 55lbs again following the Body-for-Life program. I even ran in my first 5k. 2007 I lost yet another 50lbs.
Now I'm back to pre-baby weight and am back in training for natural body building figure competitions. I'm doing this on my own so any advice is encouraged and greatly appreciated!
Why I Love It:
Gives me soooo much more energy and confidence. Who doesn't like looking hot?!
How I Stay Motivated:
I realize life is precious, and that I want to do all that I can to be here as long as I can. I realize that losing weight without effort and complete dedication just leaves you thinner, not healthy nor happy. And have you seen how small those competition suits are!!
