Overall Goal: Lean out to the point where I have as little body fat as possible.
Fit Status:
Too much cardio not enough calories or protein = regression, not progression!! Need to get some balance.

When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
It's taken me a long time to finally want to change from my old habits. I dealt with an ED for over ten years, before I realised that I needed to make a lifestyle change in order to be happy. This life - it makes me happy :)
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of really just 'using' my body, and seeing how far I can push myself. I'm still in the early stages of my training, but the high I get from just one session is enough to keep me going. I also love watching my muscles get stronger and more defined - I like seeing them finally!
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading about transformations, looking at pics, reading articles and shopping for clothes.
Lean out to the point where I have as little body fat as possible.
Goal (Long):
Whilst I wouldn't say I'm overweight, I certainly wouldn't consider myself healthy. My ED has played havoc with my health and body... I've been both extremely thin and extremely fat, but never healthy or happy. I want a body that I can be proud of - strong, lean, healthy, happy and hot!
I bought my first fitness magazine last December, and it's been a slow but steady progression from then. At first I was skeptical about me being able to look like the beautiful women in those magazines. I had zero self esteem and didn't think I deserved to look after myself. I realised that my defeatist attitude wouldn't get me anywhere - I'd rather try and fail, than do nothing at all. I dislike failure (as most people do!), therefore, I'm so determined to make this positive change in my life. One day I will look in the mirror and LOVE what I see (hopefully).
My ultimate goal is to lose fat whilst sustaining muscle mass. I had a session with a PT a few months ago, and she really helped me feel more positive about myself. I want to strengthen what I already have, rather than increase/decrease size. Losing fat would be great, because I know deep down, there's a hottie waiting to get out!
I know I've got a long road ahead, but I'm willing to go all the way and do whatever it takes to achieve my ultimate goal!
"Hopelessness is only a state of mind, therefore impossibilities are only illusions"
For me, this statement sums up what's so brilliant about Chad. He's truly inspirational - his dedication and general attitude makes me quit feeling sorry for myself and makes me want to get my ass into gear.
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
The pros - I like the general atmosphere and the change of scenery.
The cons - it's not close to where I live.

What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
I like the fact that there are people of all different fitness levels in my gym, so nobody feels out of place. Also, my gym is clean and bright! I avoid the pool (not a water baby), and the posers and perves (you get them everywhere!).I like the fact that there are people of all different fitness levels in my gym, so nobody feels out of place. I'm not eating properly... And it's affecting my gym time, which in turn is really frustrating!
I need to a little more & more often... I find it hard to stick to my meal plans, because I cannot take a short break every three hours at work. I lose track of time (and my digital watch...
