For those who are wondering i didnt win in a knockout.or a technical.or at all. I made it to the quarter final but the guy whiped my ass. I still got money for the first 2 wins.(750) But it not enough for a car. So Im going to spend it on vacation in hawaii. I was planing on losing 50 pounds....
I'm doing just fine. Back to the gym averaging 2 hours per session. Strengthening the knee with high resistance on the elliptical and stationary bicycle. Walking on treadmill to rehab the foot. How's your weight loss coming along? Only a few months before Summer show off season - LOL --Dawn Melanie
First "fitness" competitors have 3 rounds of judging. "Figure" has 2 rounds - 1-piece and 2-piece. Fitness has a 3rd round to perform choreographed technical moves-e.g. 1 arm pushup. I cant do fitness bec. I am "clumsy". I'm not interested in competing in BB as Fig. comps seem more best for my lean body type to excel.
In figure competitions, a FEMININE athletic body is desired. Not muscle separation - "muscle groupings"- Yes. Extreme muscle striations s/b on bb stage, not the figure stage. Fig. -- high heels, and we must SMILE (BBs do not have to smile). Hair, nails, skin tone. Poise, grace and femininity with a toned muscularly balanced look. Symmetry is favored in both. Check out the pics again and see if you can see the "difference". Both respected!
lol, no better place to set that camera without a tripod. no other counter to set up that camera AND have a wall to lean on. wanted to try somethin' different ;)
I got an allograft - ACL tissue from a cadaver (dead body) put into me ... my torn ACL and ripped meniscus, etc. were cut away...I got pictures and video. I have full extension and "full flexion" but I can't flex my knee like my right. And it still hurts and POPS (doc said normal)...I'll keep wkg it out...See my posted "Knee ReHab" Workout...

Hey man hope u do well with that, unlike u im tryin to gain 50 lbs. Will be a long road though just stay motiviated
I still have some edema (swelling) but I can walk and bear all weight on my left leg. If you are considering NOT having surger, I suggest you do reconsider. A TORN ACL cacn NOT heal itself. I think a young, active individual, as I believe you to be, would benefit in the long-term from undergoing such a procedure. Do let me know how you proceed. Good Luck!
Hi Mya, my Reconstructive ACL surgery took about 60 minutes...maybe 75mons at most. I got an allograft...it was all done ortohhscopically. And Heck no, it fely anything but better immediately following. First 2 weeks were unbelievably unbearable. However, there was a marked change at 3 weeks. Well,I am 10 weeks post op and I feel SOOOO much better.
