How I Started:
I started lifting weights at gym class in high school and found I really appreciated the gains in strength as well as the fat loss. I became addicted and quickly found an enthusiasm for fitness and running.
Why I Love It:
I love running and doing cardio because it's the best stress reliever I've ever experienced. I used to be the fat kid in school and seeing how well my body has transformed is always a constant motivator, I look forward to my workout time every day... I absolutely love it.
How I Stay Motivated:
I gain fat easily so I'm not able to slack much before my body begins paying for it, which quickly gets me back on track. I love the way I feel when I work out regularly and can easily tell the difference in my energy and self esteem levels when I don't. The best way for me to stay truly motivated is reading books about fitness. I have found that every time I pick up a book related to fitness and/or nutrition, I don't get more than a few pages into it before I start getting that excited "lets' do this!" feeling.
BB Accomplishments:
When I got out of high school I stopped working out and started working a sedentary job which caused me to quickly gain body fat. At my worst I weighed 290-295lbs and one day I finally decided it was time to stop working the dead end job, get on with my life, and lose the weight. I lost 100lbs in 8 months of exercising 6 days a week and being active every day of the week. Since then I've lost an additional 25lbs of body fat and gained about 15-20lbs of lean muscle.

I want to drop another 4-6% of body fat getting me down to around 7-8% while maintaining a decent amount of lean muscle mass.
Goal (Long):
Right now I still have a small amount of excess body fat which doesn't look bad but I would love to be a bit more toned. I have completed my NSCA and NASM CPT certifications, and am in the process of getting my degree in Exercise Science. Eventually I would like to couple that with a C.S.C.S. as well. I want to be as knowledgable as humanly possible about exercise and nutrition and will never stop studying, reading, researching, and discussing it.
I do want to gain some size in my chest and maybe my shoulders (more so in the posterior), but the key goal is to maintain the muscle mass I have and drop to below 10% body fat.
I have found that isolating the biceps when doing any type of exercise (hammer curl, reverse curl, etc) has given me the best gains.

What tricep workout has worked best for you?
Working out triceps in cohesion with other "push" exercises has proven beneficial. I tend to focus the most on straight dips with my legs fully extended, and various forms of tricep extentions.
how long is your deployment?
what's your job? that sucks that you can't swap anymore. could always try and BOP here. :p
things are good here. the weather is heating up! :D 90s today, 100s tomorrow! but not like desert heat! LMAO
lol, that's funny. I took them down because 1. they werent really appropriate for a girl w/a man! and 2. they werent really fitness related, SO, when i get FIT!! i will post some progress ones. i had a great weekend actually, my BF came to visit me :) hope you had a good one too!
Thanks a lot! Any advice is precious for me - most of the people here are experts that have done wonders with their body - they put theory into practise - including you, of course. I know I can trust them:) I've already learnt a lot! For example now I know about the importance of muscle in your body.. (I thought I can only do cardio and achieve my goals). Summing up, you're the man:) !!
our flightline guys deploy to guam, then complain about how hard thier job is while our guys are doing convoys and defusing IEDs. But working on the B-2 has jacked up all thier brain cells around all the stuff they do.
