How I Started:
I maxed out at 249 and just couldn't take looking at myself in the mirror any more. Was very athletic in college and high school but just let myself go. Started running and lifting and my photo is me in November at about 205. I am now at 178 and still pushing myself.
Why I Love It:
The feeling of a good burn and being able to see some of the results in the mirror, especially when I put my pants on and they are loose.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking in the mirror. I keep my picture in my wallet and look at it every once in a while. I won't let that happen again.

Not a fun time Best picture in years
Taken when I was at my heaviest weight. I was at least 249 with too much of everything.
I finally started to feel good about myself. I am at about 175 pounds in this picture with about 11 % bodyfat.

I started out maxing out at 248 pounds, which was the heaviest of my life. I am now down to 178 pounds and working hard to get to 184 but being ripped out of my mind. I am at 12% bodyfat, but really would like to hit 184 being 6% bodyfat.

What tricep workout has worked best for you?
Skull crushers - 6 sets
Dumbell Isolations - 3 sets
Tricep extensions - 3 sets

I don't do calves separately...I integrate them throughout my leg workout and do sets in between others.

Pyramid Barbell Curls - 8 sets starting at 65 lbs up to 125 lbs and back down
Dumbell Curls - 4 sets
Barbell Reverse Grip Curls - 4 sets

..i am maybe more hardcore than you! HA..yup i'm stubborn sometimes..legs are a little sore today, but i'm going to see what i can do..just squats and lunges i'm thinking..maybe leg press..dunno yet..used to do legs twice a week for a few months but had to ease up, you're right twice is a lot
