Fit Tip: Abs should be trained POST workout! It's been proven that training abs first makes you weaker for the remainder of your workout. I use the analogy of chopping a tree??, would you chop the bottom of the tree then climb to the top to do work? No because its structurally less stable now, same goes for your body. If you're performing your lifts properly with your core ALWAYS engaged for optimum stability, you don't really need to hit abs. To be honest the only time I truly train abs is the last 8 weeks of prep. Everyone has abs, whether you have a 4/6/8 pack is all based on genetics sorry! What you can alter is the definition, what I mean by that is how far they pop out! Abs are like any other muscle, you want them to grow, use weights to make them pop. NO SIDE BENDS THO!!!! That **** is the worst for your spine and makes your waist blocky!
