OVERALL RATING
During both of these phases- then and now I was living life, different goals but still the same values and still living life the way it needed to be lived in order to catch what I was chasing. Both of these bodies were FIT by definition of their purpose at that point in my life. On the left I was dedicated to presentation, where physical performance was not a tool to gage progress. Numbers came in the form of training minutes and strict grams of nutrition. On the right I'm exploring progress in the form of performance, fuelling my body to get through the strenuous training required to achieve the goals. This has been a work in progress as old habits are hard to kill Somedays.... The common factor between both these images that never changes is my mindset to succeed. I am grateful for all the stages and phases of this body and it's ability to allow me to explore the many facets of the fitness industry. Although to many it may look like the girl on the left was in the best shape of her life the reality is that the girl on the right is feeling the most athletic and 'FIT' she has EVER felt and falling a little more in love each day with a different form of hunger to succeed. This post was inspired by the one of a kind @kyfitnessandnutrition who reminds us to fall in love with yourself outside of your physical self....I know what it takes to be the girl on the left- living minute to minute without ever being present in the moment because that's the focus required when that's the goal you are chasing....and at that phase I loved it!!! But I'm now currently living in the moments, trying to worry less about the next minutes and giving no energy to the last minutes because they can't be changed.
