Overall Goal: I must be allergic to dumbbells--Every time I touch 'em I get swoll!
Fit Status:
I love it when people look at you and go, "Hey, do you workout?" No (rolls eyes), I'm just a genetic freak.

When I Started:
Aug, 2003
How I Started:
I grew up competing in gymnastics, surrounded by hulking men at a young age. I wanted their strength and size. I got out of gymnastics and took up competitive swimming, which I did for about 7 years. I was a lean, athletic 160 pound swimmer when I graduated high school. I loved the weight room, and always wanted to get bigger. When I got to college, I learned about nutrition. As soon as I learned that, I started getting the size and definition I had always wanted. After starting college at 163 pounds, I graduated in 2006 at 205 pounds. My waist was the same size as it was four years earlier: 31".
Why I Love It:
I love the journey, where I get to learn something new about myself every time I step into a gym. I love the control and mastery over my body I get from it.

Already sporting some separated arms and abs. It pays to be a gymnast!
I don't really believe in bulking or cutting, but I wanted to lift some heavier weights in the gym so I've up'ed my caloric intake in recent months...Now I think I've up'ed it a little too much. I'm definitely too unfinished. Legs continue to be a problem. No matter. I'm about to disappear...
My greatest success in bodybuilding has very little to do with me. I’ve worked as a trainer before, and as any trainer can tell you, your clients are always something of a mixed bag. Many get frustrated because they don’t see overnight results, or many just don’t want to apply...
I saw yesterday that I hadn't updated this little window since December of 2007.
This is the program I'm doing at the moment. I based it on a holistic program out of Iron Man magazine and combined it to include 3D Positions of Flexion (For more on 3D POF, go visit Steve Holman or...
Hey, my friend, I was thinking about you and the others who are serving our country on the day we celebrate our independence. I’ve said it before, but it cant be said too often: I’m over the top grateful for you and what you are doing for me, my family and our country. Before I had my coffee this morning, I said a prayer for you, your family, and your safety and success. Stay well.
Jim
It's surprising that sometimes a change is all you need to move forward again, isn't it? I'm glad your not stagnant anymore and back on the path to getting even more "swoll" - it's still not a bad allergy to have!
How're things going? I've switched my workout up some to go with high reps/low weight. Working on getting rid of the fat still. Are you getting your workouts in?
Pete, on this Memorial Day, I want to thank you, again, for your continued service and sacrifice for our country. I pray for your continued safety and blessings upon you and your family.
Jim
Thanks - the show closed today and all went very well. So it's back to the gym! And yes, it's getting warm here - consistently in the 60 degree range (sometimes more) and in a few weeks we'll be complaining about how hot it is. How's your training going btw?
yea, personally i think my dad's going through some mid-life crisis thing. he's never really been into weapons. since my sister went through west point and after I got out he really seems to be interested in military gear. you know that the m4s ammo costs about 50cents a shot!
The cutting is going slowly to say the least. But, I'll be working hard all summer - I'm in another play which closes this Sunday and then nothing but training through August! Oh, and work, and watching my niece play softball, but mostly training. How're are things with you? I take it your back from your field duty.
