I have always worked out. I was a sprinter/jumper in high school, and then I got really into mountain biking all through college and beyond. As I got older and had kids I noticed that although I was a trainer i started slipping on my workouts and nutrition (mainly nutrition.) I started running distance, and I lost any exess body fat I had (16% down to 10%) but I got a little weaker in the process. I made the decision to start lifiting this year once all my 2008 running commitments were over. I know what to do being a trainer, I have just never done a lot of heavy lifiting myself. So here I go!
Why I Love It:
I just like the feeling of being strong. Being the skinny kid my whole life i never really come across as a strong guy. I have been in good shape most of my life from all the random activities I do, but nothing makes me feel better about myself as when I lifting something heavy.
How I Stay Motivated:
anytime i can put one more plate on the bar makes me want to keep pushing.
BB Accomplishments:
1st place in the 100 m dash Sunflower State games
2nd place in the 200m and 400m Sunflower state games
Times not great but placed well

I have always been a runner, and have had fitness attention defecit disorder. I like doing a bunch of dirrerent things like running, jumping, biking , just moving in general.I am always doing something, but never focus too long.I have been in decent shape my whole life, but now I am ready to add muscle, but really I just want to be stronger. I have never lifted seriously for strength and size. I am a personal trainer, and I am now moving into traing a lot more athletes, and i want to improve my strength, and if I get bigger in the process then great!
from other trainers I have studied under, and/or respect. I am a history buff, and I research a lot of old techniques (physical culture stuff) so i will pick things up there as well. But i always ask an expert if learn something new, 'cause i want to do it right.from other trainers I have studied under, and/or respect. After taking a planned two weeks (that turned into 3 weeks) off from my training following a track meet I ran in I am pleasantly surprised to see that my strength has gotten better. Now my Trainer brain tells my that makes sense because your body needs time to rest and rebuild/recover, but I...
