chaunska So, anyway I did 4.38 miles in 68 minutes...560 calorie burn. I'd be more pumped about it if I wasn't retaining fluid from the BCAA drink

  • Try a shot of apple cider vinegar before bedtimes for a week to help with water retention. WARNING it's as bad as Buckleys cold medicine!!!

  • Blaaa, If drinking a lot of water doesn't do the trick, I might try it.

  • Have you tried changing up your cardio from long steady state to shorter durations at a higher intensity or HIIT? Sometimes it's good to change things up, as our progress slows as our bodies become more efficient and our fitness levels increase, especially during aerobic exercise. Tapping into your anaerobic energy system will seemingly burn less during the workout but recovery lasts up to 24 hours after and keeps on burning away to help replenish energy stores. Just an idea to help you push past this plateaued feeling you seem to have. Either way you look amazing and are impressively motivated! Progress isn't a linear journey, you'll get there just keep up the good work :)

  • Thanks ykf...Well, I do a HIIt for the first 30 minutes and then steady state for the next 20 to 60 minutes. During HIIT, I get my heart rate to top out around 150. Steady state's high is around 120 to 130 depending on the incline and speed. I also strength train every night 60 to 120 minutes, with additional cardio (except rest nights). I do at least 1 cardio every single day though....I am thinking of taking a cardio break during the week though...just to change things up a little. My total workout time for the day ends up being 2 to 4 hours total. So I'm still trying to brainstorm on how to change things a little...hopefully, my additional supplements will help my body feel less assulted, lol.

  • Hi Theresa! Depending on your goal, there are quite a few options. Give me a shout and maybe I can toss a couple of ideas your way.
