When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I've always been interested in bodybuilding but just never seemed to take the time to try it. I was a teacher for many years and spent most of my free time watching or coaching all the sports my kids were involved in. Now my kids are grown and I'm not working, so I'm getting to spend time doing something I've always wanted to do. I also had just turned 45 and was not really happy with getting older and the body that came with it! I had worked out with weights and aerobics many times over the years but never really stuck with a program or took the time to learn the science behind it!
I'd been reading fitness mags and tearing out all sorts of exercises to get in shape! lol Yep, they made it into a file folder! Then I saw an ad for bb.com in one and looked it up. At first, I just joined and looked at all the transformations people had made ... most of which were very awesome and intimidating at the same time! It took me awhile to actually post a progress picture and begin participating. Thanks to bb.com, I've discovered a family of supportive and motivating friends!! I still have a long way to go, but I've learned so much from this site and all the wonderful friends I've made here! It's really a life changing experience that many people don't understand. I love you guys and appreciate all your continued help and support!!
Why I Love It:
I'm not sure if I love it yet...it's a love/hate relationship! I love the results but hate the work! LOL
How I Stay Motivated:
By the awesome support group I have on here :)
BB Accomplishments:
Finally seeing a calf muscle!! Thanks to 6pack99's killer calf workout!!!

This pic was taken after taking off from Jan - Mid April off then slowly starting to get back into a routine. Worked out pretty regularly in May but need to get my diet back in control. That's my goal for the next month!
to be healthy and fit, gain more muscle and get the diet back on track!
Goal (Long):
I'd like to have a 2 pack with a nice line down the middle and some obliques... with the rest of the stomach firm and toned but feminine and soft at the same time ... haha... not too much! Course I would take a 6 pack! lol
Joey was the first person on here to teach me about bulking and cutting. He has great abs and works hard year round to keep them. Makes me want to work harder too.
/>Since my grand daughters were born on Jan 1st, working out has been a major challenge! Takes me back in time to when my kids were little ... I think that's when I gave up on working out before. My own fault .. I'm kind of an all or nothing type of person. So, I've decided I'm going to...
i've been spending so much time in the shrine that i put a urinal in there and a refrigerated beer keg tap thingy only i use kegs of champagne instead of beer.
Hi, Penny. How's everything in N.C.? All ready for Christmas? I have a question, I was wondering what this "killer calf w/o" is that you were doing. I was involved in a bad accident about 25 years ago, and as a result, have very limited range of motion in my right ankle. I currently do standing calf raises (4 sets/10-12 reps) once a week, with very little results. Anyhow, take care, and have a great day.
hi typo. i never understood the turtleneck with no sleeves. if it's warm enough to go sleeveless, why do you need a turtleneck? Conversely, if it's cold enough for a turtleneck you will also be wanting sleeves.
Great to see the profile pic. back up that caught everyone's attention in the first place. I don't thionk I've ever seen worn out jeans look so good! Have a wonderful day.
how hot is that going to be? your tile going into your shrine with the low rise ripped up faded jeans thumtacked to the back wall. important safety tip: will have to move the candles away from the wall to avoid igniting jeans.
New photo looks good. How have you been? It's been awhile. I'm buying a house in North Charlotte right now. I need to get back into the gym. Slacked off for a month due to stress in life.
