When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I've always been interested in bodybuilding but just never seemed to take the time to try it. I was a teacher for many years and spent most of my free time watching or coaching all the sports my kids were involved in. Now my kids are grown and I'm not working, so I'm getting to spend time doing something I've always wanted to do. I also had just turned 45 and was not really happy with getting older and the body that came with it! I had worked out with weights and aerobics many times over the years but never really stuck with a program or took the time to learn the science behind it!
I'd been reading fitness mags and tearing out all sorts of exercises to get in shape! lol Yep, they made it into a file folder! Then I saw an ad for bb.com in one and looked it up. At first, I just joined and looked at all the transformations people had made ... most of which were very awesome and intimidating at the same time! It took me awhile to actually post a progress picture and begin participating. Thanks to bb.com, I've discovered a family of supportive and motivating friends!! I still have a long way to go, but I've learned so much from this site and all the wonderful friends I've made here! It's really a life changing experience that many people don't understand. I love you guys and appreciate all your continued help and support!!
Why I Love It:
I'm not sure if I love it yet...it's a love/hate relationship! I love the results but hate the work! LOL
How I Stay Motivated:
By the awesome support group I have on here :)
BB Accomplishments:
Finally seeing a calf muscle!! Thanks to 6pack99's killer calf workout!!!

08 arm progress
My goal for arms in 2009 is to get them to look like they do here without flexing!
Abs/Arms 6-15-09
This pic was taken after taking off from Jan - Mid April off then slowly starting to get back into a routine. Worked out pretty regularly in May but need to get my diet back in control. That's my goal for the next month!
to be healthy and fit, gain more muscle and get the diet back on track!
Goal (Long):
I'd like to have a 2 pack with a nice line down the middle and some obliques... with the rest of the stomach firm and toned but feminine and soft at the same time ... haha... not too much! Course I would take a 6 pack! lol
She's gorgeous and extremely dedicated. Her hard work shows in her transformation! She keeps us all motivated and entertained with her blogs. Plus, she's a total egg slut!
She has an absolutely stunning physique and has worked hard to get there. She's also a very down to earth person and is willing to share what she's learned to help others succeed!
/>Since my grand daughters were born on Jan 1st, working out has been a major challenge! Takes me back in time to when my kids were little ... I think that's when I gave up on working out before. My own fault .. I'm kind of an all or nothing type of person. So, I've decided I'm going to...
hiya typo. the hot yoga is a 90 minute program of holding poses in heat. i am not sure what the heat does other than make your muscles plaint and flexible. it is great cardio even though you are hardly moving. my mom, who is 61, grew an inch in the year and half she's been doing it due to her spine uncompressing and straightening.
that's ok, I tried to take a bike ride with the family yesterday after my training, and it didn't turn out to be much cardio at all, so I'm not counting it! this weekend is going to be tuff! but I'm going to try my best to limit my consumption! :) just don't pig out too much and we'll hit it hard starting Monday, K? ...but we have to kick it up!
not really probally just the beach... i got a crazy couple weekends coming up so..... 11th got a huge bachelor party for my boy.... then the following week 2 weddings to go to hahah
Actually no, I don't. When I get tired is when I think of you running. Gets my creative juices flowing. Nothing but family time for me this weekend. You?
NO ma'am, I have not made it there yet. Got all my clothes and plan on going after work follwed by some shopping for the boys before they come tommoorow. I need to finish their room.
No, not yet. I'm still learning how to use my fancy video camera and I'm still learning the software to put the whole show together with (Adobe After Effects). I want to run it on public access cable at the same time I post here. So we're talking one month/six weeks. Every time I cook these days I talk to myself as if I'm talking to you guys for practice. I'm also compiling music that I'm going to us,e and will have an animated character too. Really. (I do animation too, btw).
The 150 healthiest isn't a cook book, it's just an overview of healthy foods done in a very (no pun intended) digestible easy to read way (beautiful to look at). I have the 150 healthiest meals, too. Sometimes people yell at me :-( that I recommend too many things and they're not made out of money so I left that off. But it's an excellent cookbook. Very, very easy recipes. Very easy. Super easy. Good choice.
