How I Started:
Simply put (with no violins or sob story)...I just let myself go after a knee injury about 10 years ago. I never went back to working out on a regular basis after being in a brace for 6 months.
Why I Love It:
I am slowly learning to love it. I did have an inate distaste for sweating, but a few Bikram yoga classes put a stop to that.
How I Stay Motivated:
Here's where I get into trouble...consistency has been a problem in the past for me, but i am ever determined. I've been browsing this site for inspirational stories (and bods) and reading a few magazines (Oxygen, Fitness, Muscle & Fitness Hers). Also, the last time I wore a bikini was the summer of my 30th birthday....and i LUV bikinis - this is my primary motivation. I know it should be health - blah, blah, blah, but it's really all about the bikini and looking better naked. The only potential issue noted with my health has been my weight, which I am changing right this minute.

ok, so i got the go ahead from my orthopaedist yesterday, so i can train again (with some limitations...no lunges, deep squats, limited range on leg raises). i also signed up with my trainer again for another 6 weeks...i'm off to do some cardio now. whooohoooo!
Well, good for you being back on track! My show went pretty well for my first. I was up against experienced ladies so i think i did good placing. Next show will be better! I'm going to work on filling out with mass and finding a show later in the year.
Slow and steady works just stay consistent and you'll do well....me..hum....working hard right now so far 10 lbs down from the new year,and hoping to drop 60 lbs this year!!!Ty
Hi there! Girl, i got a trainer hooking me up. I am going to do the workout routine he did for me starting Monday. I'm excited to see how my body will respond! Lots of new exercises and cardio will be different too!
The creatine I use is combined with other ingredients to promote lean muscle mass. Fitness peanut below me is one of my testers! She is on creatine in her pre workout drink.
