Nephew and his girl friend were looking to lift while on college break - good motivator for me to start up again.
Why I Love It:
After years of being a couch potato, it feels GREAT to workout again - I feel much better, have energy, and I am getting stronger. Down the road maybe do some grappling(?)
How I Stay Motivated:
Workout partners pushing me...I push them. And lets be honest, I want to look like some of the BUILT guys in my gym.
Transform my Body: Not so much worried about my weight (currently 203lbs), but want to distribute it more evenly and turn it into muscle. As I work out I hope to increase my strength, stamina and endurance.
Improve for a Sport: Would like to try submission grappling one day, so I would like to be in better shape. (Rev. 07/19/2008)
You should start up the grappling now man..forget down the road..you don't need to be in shape to be grappler..just have to have heart. It'll definitely help to get you in shape too.
thanx for the comment bro. good luck with all your goals. If you want to do BJJ or thia or any style of MMA you don't need to be strong you just need to start. MMA is my cardio i hate running so thats my sup for it.
thanks for the kind words, if you want to get ripped dont do wrestling buy a 6 ft. banana bag and do muay thai 2 1 hour sessions as soon as you wake and sleep trust me, i have been doing it for about a year and half now and was going to go to thailand to compete but ****ed my eyes up with lasik..and i bet it is nice in paradise huh
