When I Started:
How I Started:
Shoot, those Hercules movies from the sixties and the World's Strongest Man competitions back in the day. What else! LOL. I was always skinny as a kid. My guidance counselor used to call me "String bean Medina". Not so stringy anymore. Take THAT Mr. Pep! :)
My dad bought my brother and me one of those old plastic/cement weight sets when I was 14 along with a bench. Started from there. Always wanted to be big but was never really serious about it. So over the years it's been a lot of stop and go. Now a bit more serious after talking with a pro-trainer and doing a lot of research.
Why I Love It:
I just love lifting.
How I Stay Motivated:
Having to buy larger shirts. LOL. Seriously though, World's Strongest Man is a huge motivator. Because of my skeletal structure I know I could never match those guys but it sure keeps me motivated to push harder. Those guys are intense!
BB Accomplishments:

Heavy and short basic exercises. My shoulders have always been lagging so I throw in some shoulder work on chest day. Note, on Leg day I will squat every other week. On weeks I don't squat I will just do leg extensions for the quads. Since I'm gettin' older my knees can't tolerate the...
