Fort Lewis College Attended 2002 to Present Durango, Colorado United States
High School:
Taft High School Attended 2000 to 2002 Lincoln City, Oregon United States
When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
Moved to a new house and my roommate and long time friend was working on his Personal training cert. so I took advantage of that and had him start showing me proper technique and form for lifting free weights and helped me design a workout to accomplish what I wanted.
Why I Love It:
Besides the increase in strength and size...it has helped my performance in other sports(flag football, airsoft, and many others) and has improved my confidence in myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just like the exhuastion and feeling of accomplishment after the workout, knowing that what i'm doing is going to improve the way i look and feel about myself, I was a track runner so self motivation isn't hard as running track is a solo sport as all that matters is you and the track ahead, during workouts all that matters to me is the weight on the ground and lifting it.
BB Accomplishments:
Best one I can think of now is my arm strength. One of my friends was a football player for one of the major Uninvesities and tried to get me to throw the football with him. Before I started bodybuilding, I could only throw about 5-10 times before my arm fatigued and I started hurting myself, after about 6-7 weeks of weight training, I had much more power behind my throws and was able to throw for a half hour or more before I started to fatigue...A major increase in performance and made me feel great since I remember how it was before I started training.
As a track runner in high school and avid mountain biker, my lower body strength has never really lacked, but my upper body has always been weak. I want to develop my upper body so that it will be just as amazing as my legs!
To make the change at that age is incredible and I am striving to get that fit and stay that way so i can look like that when I am that age! great job and keep inspiring other people!
Well starting to get the symtoms of a really bad cold or flu...So till i get better going to hold off on workouts. Works out though since I ran out of my protein shake mix and won't be able to get another tub till wednesday next week. Guess this will give me a chance to catch up on my...
