Overall Goal: I want to gain muscle and decrease body fat. I would like to get and keep my weight at or below 208, decrease my body fat to 16% and get my bench to 350 by June 1st, 2009.
I started lifting in conjunction with high school sports. I quit lifting for a long time after college and got back into it in my mid-thirties to work out some shoulder problems.
Why I Love It:
I love the pump and it is a great way to clear your head of work issues.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have always been naturally attracted to lifting so I have never found motivation to be a problem. However, I would suggest against taking extended breaks from lifting as "getting back on the horse" can be a key deterrent.
BB Accomplishments:
Having a 335 bench at 16 and getting back to a 300+ bench at 40.

I returned to the gym today after a month off. This was driven by the flu and an ample grace period to avoid and relapse issues. Doing some lighter workouts this week to break back in and get to the heavier work next week. Looking forward to hitting the iron hard again.
