When I Started:
Jun, 2006
How I Started:
After watching my body get turned into something I was not happy with I decided that's it... also, I noticed that the 'younger generation' was making me look bad, I decided I gotta keep up! This isn't funny any longer.
In my 20's I partied and ate like I didn't care, and honestly I didn't. So it was time for transformation, also about that time I was noticing that every where I looked people were being much more fit conscious, this wasn't just the younger generation it was also with the older generation. So I finally gave into my inner thoughts and started my own little home gym set up. About 1 1/2 years later I have a decant set up and can do most what I want. Not quite there yet, but I'm trying every day to get just a little bit better.
Why I Love It:
I love the fact that now I'm not as self conscious about the way I feel about my physic. I can hold my head up a little higher when I feel good. It's a little bit of a high when your body gets tighter, I feel like I want to back to my little corner of the world and work out for another hour!
How I Stay Motivated:
My motivation comes from knowing I can always look better than I do today. I'm the type of person that notices everything around me, so if I see some one that looks like their fit, I critique myself against them and think I'm not there yet... keep going! Its a little wierd, but it keeps me going.
BB Accomplishments:
So far my biggest goal is benching over 200lbs, it's beyond me to think that I could ever do it.... in my early 20's I had a group of friend's that were into body building and they tried to push me to work out with them, I tried it and couldn't bench 125lbs and so I got discouraged and never went back. That was then and now, over 15 yrs later, I think I'm on the right track.

Do you want to be 'thaaat guy?' or be 'THAT guy!'
Quitting is not a part of the plan.
Never settle!

Build self confidence and physic at the same time.
Goal (Long):
I've always been a very skinny kid from a young age, after my 20's a probably partying like everyone else does, it made me into a lazy out of shape blob.
I turned 35 and said this has gotta stop. I decided to not go to a membership gym due to time constraints. So I went out and used a friends discount at a local sport retailer and bought some dumb bells to start off with. After a couple of months I moved up to a much better set up with Olympic bench and full dumb bell set up.
Now I'm in a daily routine to hit my home gym every morning before I go to my 2 jobs and I love it. It makes me feel more confident and proud to walk around where ever I go.
This summer is going to be a different feeling, instead of hiding under a tank top of loose shirt, I'm going for a full day with out a shirt!

What is your cardio exercise plan?
Try to run for 30-45 minutes or a mile which ever is best or run up hill as much as possible. Stay steady, don't slack off it doesn't do you any good! Or treadmill at a steady pace.
