I have constantly struggled with my body. When I was in Middle School I began binging and reached 130lbs, then as my sister went through an anorexia-stage, I began to feel bad about my body, although I was "normal weight". I began to exercise excessively and stopped eating. After about a year I had lost all the weight and was pushing 95lbs with not enough fat on me to have a period.
Two years later, after hospitalizations, I have returned to the Binge-Eating-Disorder behaviors and gained back the weight. I'm unhappy about my body, again! This time I want to do it right, and end this war at last.
Why I Love It:
How it makes me feel afterwards - because right now doing it is difficult. When I "complete" a workout or a meal plan I feel empowered to carve my future.
How I Stay Motivated:
Sometimes I think - why "wouldn't I want to do this" and just think of some frivolous reason: "I don't want to get up in the morning, it's not working faster." If I just notice how shallow all of these excuses are - its all the motivation I need.
Once I get in the gym - I get "in the zone" unfortunately this sometimes leads me to overdue it a bit.
Working on finding other way also (not everything works all the time), I would love some advice!!!!
BB Accomplishments:
Although they may not be "professional body-building accomplishments" (for example contests) I've been able to stop binging, become about 3x stronger, gain 10lbs of lean mass while maintaining weight, and get over depression and body-criticism (the best accomplishment of all.)
Forum Signature:
When it comes to coping with things - It's all about concentrating really really hard on being distracted.

I am138lbs in this picture, although you can't see it.
Continue to express myself, even though at times I'm not the angel my parents wanted me to be.
Goal (Long):
I want to develop a healthier lifestyle that not only incorporates both my physical health, but my mental, social, and emotional one as well. My goal at this time is to start a physical training routine that involves doing 1 hours of lifting 5 times a week and cardio 1 hours 7 days a week.
So...it's been a long time since I have posted anything on my BodyBlog...so I might just have to do some catch up. My life has really improved, in general, not just in my fitness level. I am frustrated at the momment with my school's academics beacuse they cannot provide me with the...
