Overall Goal: Starting over. Lose the weight/fat/water that I have gained through the past year since I have gotten back from the desert. Add some more mass/muscle too.
Fit Status:
Been away.. Had to take care of business. NOW... Back for some PAIN!!
Hello and thanks to everyone for the kind words and encouragement. After the accident (tripping over my cat, badly injuring my ankle and shoulder), I thought I would be ok.. then I ended up (like thousands of Americans) loosing my job.
Well, I got a little depressed, lost focus on a lot of things and as you might have guessed it, I let myself go.
BUT... enough of the violin, sobbing story and let's talk about what is NOW important. By the grace of God above... I have landed a new job (Network Engineer) and am very.. VERY content!! I have fallen off the horse a couple of times... but enough IS ENOUGH!!!
It's been about 2 weeks now, hitting the workout routine hard and gritty! I'm falling more and more in love with power-lifting! Want to still keep the bulk/mass that I have but add more symmetry and vascular to my 5'5/215 lbs frame.
Me being down on myself and at times... life.. REALLY pissed myself off!!! So now, me, myself and I have a little punishment to give out to each other for "giving up" on our selves!
Why I Love It:
I love that I am able to take my frustrations out without hurting anyone. LOL
Helps me think/deal with stress, etc. So, instead of shoving my foot up someone's rear (who may desperately deserves it), I just take it out on the wieghts and myself! It's healthier that way... RIGHT?!
How I Stay Motivated:
I have about 3 types of motivations:
1)By watching other's workout! I get pumped like HELL; feed off of their energy, somewhat like a vampire. It makes me realize that, if he/she can do it, then damn it.. SO CAN I!!
2)Hearing that all too familiar phrase of "YOU CAN NEVER DO THAT" has become my ULTIMATE PUMPING fuel!! LOVE TO GIVE THEM THE MIDDLE FINGER ONCE I'VE ACCOMPLISHED THAT CERTAIN SO CALLED IMPOSSIBLE GOAL!!
3)Last but SURELY NOT THE LEAST... I LOOOOOVE THE FEEL OF THAT ULTIMATE PUMP OF WHERE YOU PUSH THE HELL OUT OF YOURSELF, TO THE POINT OF BLOWING CHUNKS!!!! IT'S SUCH A RUSH THAT IT'S ALMOST FREAKY, YET ORGASMIC!! OOOOH BABY YEAH!!! LOL
BB Accomplishments:
Since I'm in my 30s I am trying to keep what the good Lord has given me. Also, trying to improve it too...

In life, there's ALWAYS someone worst off than your WHINNY-ANNOYING A$$!! So, either you PUT UP or SHUT the F*CK UP!!

Starting over. Lose the weight/fat/water that I have gained through the past year since I have gotten back from the desert. Add some more mass/muscle too.
Goal (Long):
Was 185 lbs/about 8% bf when I returned home from Iraq (was 205/15% bf when I left home for Iraq).
Was injured (fell down the stairs. Twisted ankle real badly); little depressed too (losing job, etc). So, I lost sight of what was important. Now, cutting out the junk/fast foods (especially the late night bends) and beers (don't worry, I wasn't an alcoholic). Just want to cut back the bad carbs.
Getting more into power lifting. Enjoy the look and feel of having a thick physic, especially for my height of 5'5; lifting heavy gives me a rush. In light of this, I'm planning on eating what I like, to an extent (nothing fried, only baked, grilled, etc), increase the cardio (running, jump rope, etc) and calisthenics; along with my daily supplements to help me achieve symmetry/vascular.
Heavier foods (brown rice and beans, etc) will be eaten in the early parts of the afternoon. Since my job (yep started a new job, thank God); consists of a lot of lifting/rigorous activities, which will help me burn a lot of calories, etc.
Majority of meals will be split in two. Half now, half later.
Looking for other ideas too....

YOU GO BOY!! NUFF SAID!!
Your new pictures look great, you have a striking look. Sorry to hear about your injury, I would think you would tell people it was an old combat injury instead of tripping over your cat, you are certainly honest anyway. Glad to hear you are back to work.
Your size is great, just lose a little body fat and you will be back to that physical godlike status.
well im glad you doing alright, im doing ok lil stress now and then been tryna make sure hit my workouts hard when i do work out but idk need more motivation at times plus other stuff ya dig? but def glad you back bro i need the support and hopefully i get to train with you some day
Lee, glad you are doing ok bro...now that you are back it wont take you no time to get it back on track. The weight you added was just the ticket to make you look like a ripped beast next spring...lets do the damn thing...and welcome back to the states... all of you should be home.
Sorry to hear about your misfortunes. But as you say there is always someone worse off than you. Good luck with your recovery, I am sure you will come back quickly. Thirty is nothing, just a speed bump in the road.
