Background
I was a FAT MOM of 2 and decided I better get FIT to show my children an alternative lifestyle over fast food:) April 2008 was my turning point when I weighed 210lbs. At 5'2", I was about as round as I am Short! lol I never saw myself in the mirror as fat as I was in reality. I was a size freakin 18....AND THAT IS BIG Mama 18. Not the new Jr. sizing 18! lol I did it and I can honestly say that it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. It is still to this day a MIND GAME with me. I believe everything in life happens for a reason and we may not know what that reason is until later. I truly believe I finally had the strength, courage, determination to conquer this battle so I could learn from it and help others.
When I'm working out, ITS ALL ABOUT ME! I'm not busy being a single mom! IT's my ME time! I'm a 110% at the gym. I have to make the most of my time and I have made it my goal to be the sweatiest CHICK leaving the gym! I also compete. I love having a goal date to reach...It's about the journey in the end. I have met a lot of fabulous people because of this journey that I am very grateful to call my friend.

My current program as of December 1st, 2009 Early Early Early AM workouts!!!
Monday - Sunday (cardio 20-45mins)Varies with elliptical, stairmaster (around the world) and treadmill....All INTERVAL TRAINING..
Monday & Thursday- Pilates Reformer Training (1 hr)
Mon - Wed - Fri - Sun PLYOMETRICS Class (my booty shakin, jumping, Kickboxing, sprinting & interval training class that I designed!) (30-45mins)
Saturday - Step Class
2 days a week - HEAVY LIFTING SHOULDERS DO WORK HERE!!!
3 days a week - ABS (hey, they are not built in the gym but rather the kitchen....however, It just makes me feel good to do them! LOL) and makes them HARDER!
After my last comp, Nov 14th 2009, I LIFTED SUPER HEAVY for a week...all over body workouts...it felt sooo good to do an actual leg workout....But, after that week, I am done. I am blessed and cursed with my genetics. I can gain muscle easy, however, I can also gain FAT easy!
My workout is setup to help me look my best at my next comp which is in March 2010 at the Arnold Amatuer in Figure. I am told by many, and all the time, that I should give my body a rest and sit out of the gym 1 day a week. Unfortuantly I am an ALL OR NOTHING kind of person. And when I try to stay out....I feel lost and off schedule. I do what works for me...You do what works for YOU!!!
