I have always been into sports since my first team sport at the age of 6. Recently I became interested in competitive kickboxing. While working out, I met a figure competitor that was taking the class for the awesome cardio and I asked her about training me...I really wanted to get my body in that kind of shape!
Why I Love It:
I'm not sure I can pin point what exactly I love about working out, but I can not do with out it!
How I Stay Motivated:
I open a gym from 4:45am to 10:00am, and a few of our dedicated members are competing in local shows coming up, the people around me and my aspirations of successfully competing in figure keep me motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
I haven't won anything yet, but from January 15 to March 3rd I lost almost 10 lbs of fat, gained 6.4lbs of muscle, not to mention my body fat % went from 23.7% to 17.4%...Down to %12 with skin fold now!

This was taken before I changed my diet and started on a regular fitness program. I was 156lbs. I was tubby...
My initial goal was to get a lot leaner. I recently have gotten pretty lean as far as 14 weeks out from competition so now my goal is to build up some muscle mass and look sculpted and athletic. And now my lower body is freakin me out a little bit. lol I'll be killin it for awhile, I can tell.

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
I like to keep motivated by telling my close friends and family about my fitness goals. If people are waiting to see a change, I want to make sure to get it. Also, my new trainer/workout partner, Michelle, keeps my butt in gear. I love her!!I like to keep motivated by telling my close friends and family about my fitness goals. What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Just remember to take it day by day. You can't expect to lose what took you 10 years to gain in 10 days. Just stay motivated and remember that little changes are always occurring.

Hey you! How are things? Any upcomming comps planned? I started training for the Excalibur in CA Dec 6th. Should be a fun show.
So Los Alamos was Saturday, I was a spectator this time. Had a blast.
Were you there?
Congratulations! 2 trophies! You've earned it =)
Get ready to add more to your collection after the Los Alamos show!
I'm taking a break for a bit. I will probably do a show in January out in Denver.
