I wanted to get fitter and stronger for my sport.Intrigued by the philosophy of bodybuilding and the focus and drive which seems to be a major componant of the sport.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of respecting my body and allowing it to fulfill its potential. Reaching new goals everyday, wether its a long term or short term goal it gives me a feeling of progression.
How I Stay Motivated:
Thinking of standing up on the winners podium at the Olympic games keeps me motivated.Following a strict routine keeps me from straying or having cheat days.
BB Accomplishments:
None yet, have competed internationally as an equestrian and would like now to see if the same drive and ambition is transferable to bodybuilding and fitness.
I want to improve my endurance levels as well as gaining a few pounds of muscle along the way.
Dressage is my sport where flexibility is crucial but as I work hard tough hours with large young horses a bit more muscle would be an advantage.
Dressage Ireland must have come a bit loose at the edges, they decided in all their wisdom, to let me run a training show. Somewhere down the line I think my idea of a training show and their idea took different paths and veered off in opposite directions. I’m not sure how they feel about...
You are in great shape, congrats! Motivation, consistency and intensity will lead you to success. What event are you training for? Ireland is on my places to visit list by the way.
Good luck from Canada,
Eric
