When I turned 40 in October 2006, I did not like what I saw in the mirror. I decided to do something about it while I had the drive to do so. I joined my local YMCA and am in the gym 4-5 days/week.
Why I Love It:
I love the whole transformation process. I love the challenge of making my body do this.
How I Stay Motivated:
BB Accomplishments:
1. I have dropped 60.0 pounds since August 2006.
2. The rest remains to be seen.

I want to be able to wear those Under Armor shirts everyone is wearing. Only I want to make it look good.
Goal (Long):
Be comfortably in a size 34 pant by July '07. Get under 10% body fat by the end of August 2007. Be in the best shape of my life by my 41st birthday in October 07.
On top of everything else, I want to obtain my Personal Trainer Certification in 2007 or early 2008. After doing that I want to go back to college and get my degree in Exercise Science and Wellness. No better time than the present.
S = D x(T+N+R)
Success = Determination x (Trainging + Nutrition + Rest)

I want to LOSE 20 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%
Upcoming Contest:
Watch out for 2008. You might just see me on stage.

I did not get to go to the gym last night. A friend of mine lost his mother and her viewing was last night and I did not leave the funeral home until after the gym was closed. I’ll make up that cardio session later this week.
Thanks for dropping by. I don't spend much time on here lately. But I am still hitting the gym. Sounds like you had lots of excuses. Let's systematically destroy all the excuses you can come up with. That way you will have no excuses and will hit the gym and make big gainis in your physique.
Hey buddy, I'm glad you're getting back into it again. You'll love it in a couple of weeks... more strenght, more stamina, etc, etc... I have not been on this site for a while becuase of time but I've been working out and I'll be getting ready for more triathlons this year! woohoo!! Take care. In Christ, Amilcar
Glad to hear that you are ready to "Rock & Roll." None of us can make any permanent changes until we commit to doing what is necessary and it must be when we are ready and not before. I wish you strength and determination and hope you remember the saying: “Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win!”
Number 1, I am glad you are back and number 2, and only because you gave me the authority to blast you if need be, I am going to ask; why when you have a problem in a certain area (elbow) you are not in the gym working on lower body and cardio? Like Lee Iacocca said: “Do Something. Anything. So long as we just don't sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait, it may be too late."
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and your words of kinds and are appreciated - I was with her also til the end - she is in a better place now

I understand that at times life seems to get in the way of our fitness goals but if we can still make working out a priority many times the stress gets relieved afterwards. Give me a yell anytime, even if it's just to vent.
I got your back.
I finally reached the stage where I can wear an Under Armor shirt and not feel embarrassed. Good luck to you and always challenge yourself to be the best that you can be and you will enjoy the rewards of all that hard work.
All the best for '08.
