I was a former dancer/cheerleader and had kept in great shape over the years. I was working out 3 days a week doing ballet, belly dancing and pilates when I met a promoter who introduced me to figure. I decided to go for it and to represent for the middle-aged women. I'm so glad I did. I'm hooked now.
Why I Love It:
I have learned to enjoy the challenge of lifting weights but I LOVE LOVE LOVE my boxing class! It's a total rush!
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading all of the profiles and looking at the amazing bodies on this site and others is serious motivation. I figure if all these folks can do it, so can I! I'm so impressed by all the fabulous ladies on here (men too!) Finally, I love being able to walk around in a bikini with a slammin' bod at my age.
BB Accomplishments:
I won my first trophy at the Tournament of Champions!
Taken the day I decided to give figure competing a shot. I thought I was in great shape until I saw the figure competitors and how lean they were. I need to build seriously lose body fat. I have the foundation as I'm already muscular and fit.
48 and all kinda fine!! WOW you look amazing. When I looked at your profile and saw your age I was shocked, damn girl you look better than a lot of 20 year olds!! Keep doing what your doing, Mike
I'm planning on Tournament of Champions in September. I actually bought a pole to spice things up...it's in the garage lol.
It was a very challenging workout though.
Right now I'm focusing on cardio and diet.
Good Luck in reaching all you future goals!Show the world BB.com rocks. Vote for me as model of the month at http://www.worldphysique.com/ contests2.html Thanks for your support!
Hey, Tanya! I know...I'm becoming more sociable and settled. Boxing and pole dancing...now that's a training tandem. I know the results are incredible. Stay strong and keep up the fantastic work.
Oh yes, those lightweight days...lol. I really focused on building for a good while this time and not letting the weight numbers bother me too much. I'm going to cut a bit though for the Summer and i probably won't compete until late this year or early next year. I just had TT surgery.
