Slim down and increase strength while working around recurrent injuries.
Goal (Long):
In 2007, I was diagnosed with both osteoarthritis in my shouders and a torn meniscus in my left knee. Both of these cause me occasional pain and have greatly limited my workouts. I need to get back on track and learn to exercise around these limitations by improving the strength of the muscles surrounding my trouble areas.
I also need to lose about 20 lbs or more which I have gained over the last year. Most of this was caused by the injuries I suffered and being depressed about it. I am committed now to quit feeling sorry for myself and just do it. Some exercises I simply cannot do and I really can't go too heavy on most lifts. However, I'm willing to compensate for this and just be careful with the exercises that I can do.
