I was overweight in high school, and managed to lose about 35 pounds throughout college. I always envied athletes, how they looked and what they achieved, so I started running and hitting up the gym. Trouble was that my eating was deplorable and I had little results to show. After college, I got into an activity kick and started swimming and taking karate. Since then I've always kept up some physical activity. It's only within the past year that I decided to see how far I can go and how great I can look with weight training and proper nutrition.
Why I Love It:
For me, bodybuilding/working out is all about mind over body. It constantly amazes me how your mind can push your body to do never-done-before feats. Those moments keep me motivated.
How I Stay Motivated:
By seeing results, or trying on new clothes - even if I don't buy them. I like seeing what sizes I fit into in stores =)
BB Accomplishments:
I think just keeping it going and getting my head/eating straightened out is an accomplishment.

I'm quite excited that I finally managed to break through my plateau after 4 weeks of fluctuating around the 121's. Now if I could only figure out what did it! This was my first week of perfect dieting in a while - I've had a number of weddings to attend, so I've had to make due with what I...
