Started back in high school as a way to stay in shape.
Why I Love It:
Being able to look in the mirror and see my accomplishments. Also, I've suffered from depression for a number of years also and have found that working out also helps improve my mood and outlook on life overall.
Totally threw my back out doing stiff-legged deadlifts today. My back was saying "I don't know about this", but my brain was saying "c'mon...just a little bit more". I should have listened to my back. On about the 4th rep I felt it buckle and some intense pain shoot through...
Hey Darren. :) Thanks so much for your comment - it was really appreciated! :) The stress has passed and it's a new day. :) How are you? How is that injury that you aggravated?
Yes you do! The more the time that goes by the harder it will become.. LOL,I felt like that last week..so I went on a bit of binge, probally not the answer for most people though. :D
Hehehehe. I enjoy living in the States, but there truly is nothing like waiting hours to get past US customs and making my way back onto the Canadian side of the border. :) It makes me really appreciate what both countries have to offer. My baby cousin attends U of A, actually. I often prod him with the Deadmonton comments, much to his annoyance! :)
I know, right? But my hometown is much cooler than your Deadmonton. ;) HAHAHA! Just kidding. I used to be a Calgary gal, but work moved me over here! There's no place like home though! :) Glad to hear you're feeling better!
