When I Started:

How I Started:
I want to gain my body back that is the reason I returned back to the gym. When I was in college my goal was to always have a body like the fitness ladies; I used to watch these Ms. Fitness competitions on ESPN all the time . I did manage to stay fit during my college years, with a great work out itinerary. I worked out 5 days a week then. Unfortunately, I stopped working out and it was down hill since. My lifestyle changed completely, in the process, gaining lots weight within 5 years. It had gotten really bad. I got from a size 4 to a size 14-16. I wasn't happy with myself anymore that's why I have decided to take my workout seriously. Since I started in June 2007, I've gone down to a size 10. I am not yet satisfy with the body that I see. So I am working hard. Hopefully, I will make it this time and keep it because it is hard to lose a few pounds. After I lose all desired weight I hope to never find myself back there again. And maybe I will gain the body of a Ms. Fitness.....lol
Why I Love It:
It gives me great energy. With workout my lifestyle has gotten better and I feel healthier.
How I Stay Motivated:
By reading on different exercises regimen and nutritious values. Of course seeing the little results, no matter how small. Also, a a girlfriend of mine told me that I will not make it; I am determined to show her that she is wrong!
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing yet---but I should add that I am able to do push-ups(5 sets of 10 rep.)-that is a great accomplishment because when I started back, I couldn't even complete one rep.

6 more weeks to go. By the end of the 12 weeks, I hope to transform my body.
Goal (Long):
It's been a month 1/2 since I've been back to the gym. My injuries prevented me from attaining my goal. I had a swollen ankle for months to come plus busy season at work. I couldn't workout the way I wanted to and of course I put on back the few I've lost.
When I signed up here, my long term goal was to lose 64 pounds by April 08, with my injuries that didn’t happen. Now I am back to square one, but with a new attitude; I am determined this time to reach my goal before the end of the year. However, I am happy to say that I have less than 64 pounds to lose; although, there is still allot of work to do. Like I said, I am determined and I will make it!
She is truly an inspiration for all of us who think that it is too hard to achieve one's goal. And what I love the most is that it didn't happen overnight. It took hard work and consistency to get great results. And the motto: If you believe it you can achieve it-Hard work equals SUCCESS!
What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Squats
because if squats too far or weight too heavy, it can cause injury to the knees.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
The first time it happened it was while doing squats. At the time, I told my trainer that the weight was too heavy, but he didn't listen to my complaint so I ended up with a bad knee. The second time was my ankle. I didn't warm up enough and my gym partner pushed me too far too fast. It took me a good 3 months. I had a very bad case of swollen ankle. I couldn't even walk on it. I took time off from the gym and use the RICE method. Now I learn to listen to my body no matter what anyone says. The first time it happened it was while doing squats. It can feel good to see one self losing one to five pounds and seeing real change, real transformation. In the middle of 2008, I saw a flicker of change with my body and from that I was motivated and knew that I had to get serious with my workout. My visits to the gym weren’t as sporadic...
Hey thanks for checking up on me, really appreciate that! Not seeing much progress now if any and it sucks! But not giving up... hoping to survive the holidays and reach that 100 lbs goal! How about you? Keep me posted!
Things are just now getting back on track. I shall kindly call the last few weeks a 'bulking' session LOL. I wont say fell off the wagon... :) Things are back on track now though. 2 days of terrific work outs and good healthy eating. Hope things are going well for you too!
Glad to hear things are going well for you! Things are going pretty good. I am still having issues with getting below 200 so for now I am just calling it a bulking period. I am lifting hard and often and eating about 2200 cal a day. I have not really gained any weight, but I am no closer to my goal of 175. Oh well I shall get back on the weight loss track after a few weeks of this "bulking" break.
Sorry for taking so long to respond but i have been MIA and fell off the wagon! How is everything working out for you so far? Me trying to make cardio part of life!
Nice work..I am sure you are dropping fat, your clothes should start to fit different etc...The gummy bears are to be used everyday you train/ post workout..

Things on this end are going okay. I am pushing to get on stage in 2010. Looking at my recent photos I have a lot of work to do but I am determined to get it done. Keep pushing..Don't be a stranger.
the past 6 weeks I was on a lean mass gain program and I had great success. This week I switched to the Psychotic plan. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens!! ENJOY your day!
