Overall Goal:  Time to bulk. Goal is 200lbs by December 2009. I'm at 182lbs right now. I've been running a very low cal, low carb diet for such a long time. With a bulking diet now my body is just soaking up the calories and packing on the weight.

How I Started:
I just started. I was not the person I wanted to be on a physical level, my health was the worst it had ever been. I stumbled across bodyspace when I was shopping for some supplements on bodybuilding.com and that was all it took to realize that the tools and support I needed were right here in front of me.
Why I Love It:
I'm able to acheive anything I want asthetically through the education and motivational tools available on bodybuilding.com. The results I see in the mirror and feel internally are really more than I can describe in words.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated primarly by continuing to set and acheive new goals.
BB Accomplishments:
Transforming my body from morbidly obese to a high level of fitness. Hopefully soon I can add a competition win to the list.

Starting 273 LBS Bulking time. At 182 goal is 200lbs.
This picture is prior to me even starting a workout or diet plan. I was very unhealthy at 273lbs and 50% bodyfat.
At 182, goal is 200 lbs by the end of November. Bulking time.

Goal (Long):
I've completed phase 1 of my transformation thanks to bodybuilding.com and bodyspace. Truly a one stop shop for your motivational and supplement needs. Now its time to complete phase 2 of my transformation. Goal now is to pack on muscle. I'd like to be 200lbs by December with an utlimate goal of 210-230lbs. I'll have to see what my body responds to and make adjustments as I go.

What is the best type of protein for you?

Why is this type of protein best?
Blend protein of both fast and slow digestion so that I stay anabolic for longer periods of time. I will take a fast digesting whey protein immediately after training then a slow digesting 30 minutes ...more
Which type do you think is best and why?
Depends. Whey right after training but a blend any other time especially before bed. Whey protein does nothing for you during sleep becuase after it digests (approx 30 min) you become catabolic.

Nick, Thank you so much for the help you gave me along the way! People like you who put so much effort into their research rub off onto people like me who feel lost at times. I realized over time that I really had to learn how the body reacts to different kinds of foods and such in order to realize the manipulation of fat processing. Thanks for your support and being such an inspiration! Glad to see you still come on here now and then :) How's bulking?

Yeah, I've been upping my carbs for a week now (I'm on vacation) but I haven't notice much extra fat on my belly. Think my body's trying to get calories. What's Ezekiel bread? ;-] On with the race to 200 lbs!!

Yeah, I've never thought I'd want to take in that much protein, but I'm thinking I need to. 40 grams of fat? I assume that's good fat only, right? That's only about 4 tablespoons of olive/flax see oil, so I can see it. I'm going to start monitoring my calories. I think I need at least 3000 daily. Think I've been falling short.
