How I Started:
I just started. I was not the person I wanted to be on a physical level, my health was the worst it had ever been. I stumbled across bodyspace when I was shopping for some supplements on bodybuilding.com and that was all it took to realize that the tools and support I needed were right here in front of me.
Why I Love It:
I'm able to acheive anything I want asthetically through the education and motivational tools available on bodybuilding.com. The results I see in the mirror and feel internally are really more than I can describe in words.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated primarly by continuing to set and acheive new goals.
BB Accomplishments:
Transforming my body from morbidly obese to a high level of fitness. Hopefully soon I can add a competition win to the list.

Blend protein of both fast and slow digestion so that I stay anabolic for longer periods of time. I will take a fast digesting whey protein immediately after training then a slow digesting 30 minutes after the whey protein shake as well as right before bed. I try to get 300 grams a day. Which type do you think is best and why?
Depends. Whey right after training but a blend any other time especially before bed. Whey protein does nothing for you during sleep becuase after it digests (approx 30 min) you become catabolic.

What type of person at your gym annoys you the most? Why?
Guys that think they are strong but aren't. Grunters, weight slammers and meat marketers.

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I dont like grunters, usually means they are overcompensating for weakness. No
So its pretty close to December 1st which happens to be my ending date of my personal goal reaching the 200lb mark. Since this is my first attempt of bulking in about 8 years its a learning experience week to week. I reached 190lbs about 2 weeks ago and was hloding the weight until this week....
Cool!! Great job.. maybe I'll see you at the tournament of champs in 2010, I want to have a really good off season and hit it hard for another show sometime in the Summer... That one's a good one!
I so appreciated your compliment. I must say you've made quite the transformation. I am soo impressed. It's great to see that smile get bigger and bigger with each progress picture. Good luck with bulking up. I'm trying to maintain my muscle and even add some, but the running is my priority. It's all about the diet. Take care ~Stacy
U look AWESOME!!! I'm trying to lean out my legs, Any advice about what to do?? I was thinking of changing my cardio to traditional, i have been doing HIIT..
Nick, Thank you so much for the help you gave me along the way! People like you who put so much effort into their research rub off onto people like me who feel lost at times. I realized over time that I really had to learn how the body reacts to different kinds of foods and such in order to realize the manipulation of fat processing. Thanks for your support and being such an inspiration! Glad to see you still come on here now and then :) How's bulking?
