I got started because I had an epiphany one day and realized I couldn't deny how heavy I was any longer. I started that day to change my life for good.
Why I Love It:
It's something I do for myself to improve my physical and mental state. I love the way I feel when I'm walking out of the gym after a workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
I remind myself where I was a 2 years ago and know I never want to be there again. Also, people in the gym are constantly coming up to me and telling me I inspire them. That just about says it all.
BB Accomplishments:
As of 4/08, I've lost 110 lbs. I just finished competing in the Gold's Gym Body Transformation Challenge (4/08). I lost 27 lbs in 12 weeks; 6.5" from my waist, 5" from my hips...and 6" from my thigh. I also decreased my BMI % by 7%. I did this with the help of my trainer, Rob Kreider (http://www.robkreider.com). He is awesome.
***UPDATE!! I just found out I won my age division in the Gold's Body Transformation Challenge out of all 4 gyms in my area! :)
