When I Started:
Dec, 2005
How I Started:
Started back in the gym a few months after I had my son since I was seeking some 'me' time. Took a hiatus once I went back to work, then started up again in Feb '07. Really got serious in May, and haven't stopped since.
Why I Love It:
Best stress reliever ever. Doesn't matter what kind of day I've had or how crappy I'm feeling. The second I start moving I feel better.
How I Stay Motivated:
I've got no problem staying motivated to hit the gym. My struggle is with food. I practically don't eat ANY fruits or vegetables. I am the definition of a carb addict.
BB Accomplishments:
I've got biceps!! Woo!!! Get your tickets ladies and gents...
I'm a loser, just so you know.

This is my 'before' pic. Meaning the day that I decided I no longer wanted to be a cardio bunny. Heavy weights, here I come!
Unfortunately I didn't know how to pose properly...so for comparison it'll be tough.
Getting the feel for the back pose. Have a really hard time getting my legs to come together since they are so bowed.
ABBA Fall Classic here I come!
4 weeks out :) Oh SNAP!
Goal (Long):
Eat healthier, gain muscle, and lower my bf% and maintain it 'til I'm old and gray. I am the true definition of a carb addict. When I look back my entire diet was pretty much complex carbs with some protein thrown in.
My goal is to have a more balanced diet by June 2008 and 12" biceps by Jan 09.
Wish me luck!
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Don't know if I made any mistakes. I had been doing dance for 8 years when I started working out, and I was in rugby as well, so I think my body already knew how to work.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
It doesn't matter what size you are or what weight you're lifting. The point is that you are there, and giving it your all. Push yourself to the limit, and you'll see the results.
LOL, I was good this weekend. Leg didn't interfere with anything, but we did actually bring you up several times, and how we wished you could've made it. Take care Nori! TTYS
I have been off for a while. Steph was sick then she passed it to me then she got it back. Been about three weeks of just down and out. I am trying to get things together one of those overwhelming months for me much like this year has been. How about yourself? Looks like your training hard and getting ready for a show. I wish you the best of luck, you look so wonderful I am not sure anyone has a shot with you in the competition.
