Hopefully one day, play Division 1 college hockey for a big east coast, ivy league school
Goal (Long):
Hockey is one of the hardest sports to make it all the way in. You must be a great player, and a good person to make it to the NHL. Even though making it to the NHL would be the ultimate goal for me, as a plarer, I rather set my eyes on a little less of a loftier goal. Division 1 college hockey is no picnic to get to. Almost 90% of the kids who go play D1 college hockey, don't go straight to college after high school. They go play junior hockey for about to years, and then they get picked by a D1 school. To get to that point, you need to be better than the next player, and you need to have things that they don't have. What I am trying to accomplish with weight lifting is to gain muscle mass, while staying lean, so I can be strong in the corner, and come out with the puck each time.
Recently I have been hitting the squats alot harder than I used to. This has given me, even more of an edge. I am able to skate faster for longer, than alomst any oponent I am faced with.
My Goal: Get a scholarship to a big Division 1 college hockey school
