How I Started:
I started when I was 19 and lived in the weight room for 8 years. After my back injury I didn't work out for another 8 years. I'm now getting back into shape and hopefully be able to compete one day.
Why I Love It:
I love the way my body feels, the energy I receive, and the confidence I have.
How I Stay Motivated:
My family is great with their encouragement. Also seeing my abs for the first time is pretty cool too!
BB Accomplishments:
While I have never competed before I have always been pretty strong. When I was training before I maxed out my bench at 515 and deadlifts at 630.

After being out of weight lifting for 8 years I want to change my body back to where it was.
Goal (Long):
A year after I graduated (oh so many years ago), I got hooked by the bodybuilding bug. I built my body from a skinny 165 pounds to a very strong 275. I loved the way I looked, the strength I had, and the way I felt everyday. I was full of energy and confidence. Eight years ago I ruptured a disc in my back and have been terrified to lift any kinds of weights. Now, at age 37, I'm tired of feeling fat, tired, and hurting every time I do anything. So, I am going to get my body back into shape. (And hopefully my family will follow!) I don't want to get up to the 275 pounds I was, but want to drastically lower my bodyfat and build muscle and strength. For now my immediate goal is to lose 30 pounds of fat while building strength, endurance, and muscle by January.
As you have probably noticed, I haven't been able to post any updates or other thoughts for a few weeks. It's not because I haven't been working out or still staying pretty close to my diet. I've been pretty consistent in both areas. I've just been extremely busy.
My current goal is to lose 30 pounds of fat by January and gain strength before I start to concentrate on any building of muscle. That doesn't mean I don't want to.. it's just not my focus right now. The muscle building will come as a by-product of this routine but I'm planning on improved...
Thank you Tim for the kind words of support. I agree with you 100%! There is no guide like the Lord, and He is worthy of praise and glory! I pray that you are doing well, and will continue to reach your ultimate potential, as a LIVING TESTIMONY of God’s Power. Have a peaceful weekend. :) T
