How I Started:
I lost a lot of weight by dieting and light cardio, but then I just hit a plateau where I couldn't lose anymore, and I was also having back pain. Then my wonderful and supportive fiance, SolidKhalid (check out his bodyspace too!) finally got me to stop making excuses and come to the gym with him!
Why I Love It:
I love noticing improvements in how I look and feel and feeling like I am using my body to its full potential. And the back pain is gone!
How I Stay Motivated:
I just keep visualizing my goals and making plans to reach them. And listening to kickass music while I work out helps me squeeze out a few more reps!
BB Accomplishments:
Getting started was the hardest part, and finding a routine that makes me feel good and I can stick with. (There have been some times in the past where I have tried to go to the gym but overtrained or followed workouts that were meant for someone with different goals than me and wound up injuring myself and giving up completely.)
I am so happy that I finally found a workout routine that I feel works for me and I can stick with. I am still around 140lbs, but I feel so much stronger and healthier, and it looks like I lost some weight even though I didn't.
