Started training seriously in 2005, made a lot of nice gains, but then didn't lift for a year. Started back up again in March of 2007.
Why I Love It:
Setting & achieving goals, working hard towards something everyday, being able to take pride in myself and the way I live my life.

I constantly have to find new ways to motivate myself - I think that's the key.

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
Grunting is normal if you're lifting heavy. I do it and it can't be helped. Yelling is a different story...I hate it.

So I took a week off due to my injury or whatever you want to call it...I'm feeling like 5x5 is pretty much done...We did it for 6 weeks...not bad.  Wish I could have kept on with it, but also feel like it's time to switch things up.  I felt pretty strong - didn't lift overly heavy and...

To Steve, I have to respond to your question on my own page since you were signed in as a guest. I get my supplements from Popeye's right here in Edmonton. If you can hold out a couple of weeks - the Popeye's location on 107 Ave and 124 St. is re-opening after major renovations and will be having great sales!
