When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I originally began bodybuilding in 1998 while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. A Marine made one of three choices while stationed on the 'rock' and that was to become either a 'born-again Christian, a 'drunk,' or a 'fitness freak,'...I chose the latter!
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding is a great way to improve overall health and confidence for ones self. It's the one sure thing that I control and no one else can interfere. Bodybuilding is a work of art and shows how far a person can push their body to the limit.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated solely on internal drive and determination. I like the feeling of straining my muscles and the beads of sweat dripping down my face while in the middle of a set.
BB Accomplishments:
For years, I've lifted weights off and on, mainly because it was hard to gain muscle weight and strength. In January of 2008, I found out that I have a wheat intolerance, which made it almost impossible for my intestines to absorb any nutrients. After cutting wheat out of my diet and working out steadily, I have increased my lean body mass TEN pounds or more figuring for fat losses in just four months. Now my body is absorbing the expensive nutrients...I'm feeling the strength gains and seeing the fat melt away like crazy!!
