Started lifting weights when i was 13, and have lifted on and off (mainly off) for the last 25 years.
Why I Love It:
Makes me feel strong in all senses of the word.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have been out of shape for way too long... AND NOW... i want what i want... and nothing is going to stop me!!! This is enough motivation.

What is the best age to start lifting weights?

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Overtrained regularly, didn't follow a good nutritional plan, hence always felt tired and added more bodyfat than muscle.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Get advice from someone who knows what they are talking about. Search such a person out. Read about nutrition. Keep everything simple: don't over-complicate things.

The last few weeks have been great... my body fat percentage is now down to 18.8%! As i said in the last post, this is nothing really to shout about, but all the same it is 7.8% lower than when i started my body transformation in November 2008. Once i get to 16.6%, a full 10% less than when...

By the looks of your great physique, it looks like you know what you are doing... I hope you don't think I was preaching to you like I am mr Olympia-- :). One thing you could try that some swear by is eating the majority of your daily carbs around your workout(pref morning). Others say it doesn't matter when you eat your carbs:). Are you trying to bulk/cut/maintain??

Diet is such is such a key factor, if you are getting stronger in those rep ranges, you are likely gaining muscle. Finding the right diet will shed any fat that is obscuring your musculature. Take a look at my progress pic start point... that was working out hard for two years with the wrong diet out of the magazines. I've still got along way to go but am always learning more.. Just my 2 cents:)

can you do the on-demand publishing sales? aren't there companies that don't publish until they get an order? I was thinking of doing a kids book with Herm the Worm and doing the deal with amazon where they don't print out the published book wihtout an order.

i started a tabata training regemin this week. google it; it is kind of like a weight-lifting oriented cross fit. High volume, fascia stretching pump, very little rest between sets. my shoulders, elbows and wrists need a break from heavy weights for a while and the progress pics of people doing this is pretty impressive.
