How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Depends on the goal at the time. I'll rest a long time until my heart rate is right if I'm using heavy heavy weight.
If I'm doing something where the goal is to improve endurance or plyometrics I'll usually not rest too long and keep my heart rate elevated.Depends on the goal at the time. I'll rest a long time until my heart rate is right if I'm using heavy heavy weight.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
I read and researched A LOT when I started so I don't think I made many mistakes other than not sticking with it. That and not paying enough attention to squats.
I weighed in at 190lbs today! I'm 1lb ahead of schedule, I can't believe how easy it has been coming. The weight is going on evenly so far too - I can still see my abs!
I've never weighed more than 190lbs so this is all uncharted territory from here out. I feel like I'm actually on my way to...
Whats up bro..
So you want all out mass? You need your cals high with carbs and protein and fats..
Lifting should be heavy, reps from 5-8..
If you want to email me or look at my mass plan, I can give you a better idea..

First diet...lots of lean protein, and low carbs. I dont eat carbs after 7-8pm but if I do get hungry I eat a protein and maybe some fruit. I dont have the resources to eat 6-8 times a day, so I eat clean when I do eat.
My training I up the intensity every workout. Cardio is a big staple right now, at least 20min a day. Intervals I'm finding are VERY effective. And I do lift heavy so I dont lose muscle and keep my strength.
You should check out the workout from this past Monday (5/4) for more details. Far as exercise choice, I do 2 mass builders of either shoulder presses or upright rows of various variations. Then I do one shaper (e.g. side lateral) at the end. Hope this helps. -T
ha ha yeh it was great. It's popular in the way of tourist I think and they have got a few big boys there that work out there all the time. It's kinda cool eh. ;)
