Background

When I Started: Sep 1996
HOW I STARTED:

In high school, I took a weightlifting class and that kind of introduced me to the weights. In college, I had a coach who said in the offseason of my freshman year that I was too small, lol, and needed to get a little bigger. So, I hit the weights, and have been doing in ever since!!!

WHY I LOVE IT:

I enjoy working out because it allows me to set goals and try to accomplish those goals. It also keeps me in shape and gives me a lot of energy for the work week.

I'd have to say going from 130 lbs., if that, in high school to a lean 183 lbs. as of today. I just want to keep progressing by adding muscle and no fat.I always challenge myself before every workout. I have a workout log I keep for each workout and try to challenge myself from my previous workouts.

Ugh, on the shelf again, and this is getting frustrating!!!!

Well, I've been having shoulder and elbow problems for the last 2 months and have taken a bit of time off.  There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to hit the weights and start lifting but can't!!!  However, it's even more frustrating when you have an injury and can only wait for it to heal.  I've been using Animal Flex for the last few weeks, and that's seems to be helping, but still not 100 percent, so I have to wait...ugh!  Well, hopefully it won't be long before I can get back into it.  I usually don't write on here, but just had to, lol.  To everyone o...

Well, unfortunately I had a setback a few weeks ago.  I was in the gym, not paying attention, and had a 25 lbs. weight drop off of the bench press bar...ouch!!!  I broke my foot and have a cast on it now.  The Doc said I was lucky and this injury doesn't require surgery, which is a bright spot!  However, it's been tough sitting here each day since the accident and not being able to hit the weights.  I'm planning on doing some light upper body reps in the next week or so to start back up, but that's about all I can do now.  Please, everyone out there, watch your fe...
