Hi! That is Warrior Dash. Check out warriordash.com. It started in Chicago this year, but it's supposed to go national next year. It's a 3.75 mile run with obstacles.

Alison, my progress is going well. I've been focusing on running races. Made the mistake of stopping weight training and ran into some injuries, so I discovered that it's really important to cross train if I want to be competitive. Please keep in touch. I'll look forward to seeing your progress!

I like your BB accomplishments. Congrats. As a freshman in HS, the best I ever ran the mile was 5:45. Then I chose basketball. I'd like to get back to that or better. Thanks for setting a great example. I have an older, 40ish, friend who coaches and hopes to get back under 5 mins soon, so we can all have a long running career ahead of us if we want it.

For sure... I am training for the Chicago Marathon this year, so I don't expect to add a lot of mass. In general though I want to run 5 & 10 Ks. I'd liked to do more trail running... but I live in Illinis. BTW, I'm originally from Indiana and will be in Indy for the 500 Festival in May.
