I've never really done any bodybuilding, I've done some weight training but very informally and improper in high school. Now that I've done a bunch of my own research, I'm starting on my own and trying to improve my strength for sport, as well as my overall physique.
Why I Love It:
Right now I'm living, eating, breathing working out. I love the satisfaction after a grueling workout. I love seeing even the little daily improvements like moving up a few pounds or dropping some body fat. I love knowing that everything I do affects how my body can and will look!
How I Stay Motivated:
I try to make small short term goals. For example, I'll tell myself my next workout I'm going to add another 5lbs to my bench or I'm going to try that new exercise I've always wanted to. Simple, small things make the big difference in the end.
Right now I'm trying to gain strength, lose fat, and sculpt my body.
Goal (Long):
I'll be trying to get to my max weights lifted until the beginning of May, and then I'll be shifting to plyos and explosive exercises to translate that strength into ability on the field.
