i was tired of how i looked and how i felt, and i got motivated to work out one day and went from there, and never looked back.
Why I Love It:
it brings a sense of peace and self-satisfaction. i can sculpt my body and have it look how i want it to look with determination.
How I Stay Motivated:
i stay motivated by offering myself little prizes, but not food prizes. i am talking about something along the lines of books and music cds. if i offer myself a book or a cd then i will stay healthy at the same time as staying motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
i am too busy in the military to take any time off to do what i love. but hopefully one day i will be able to accomplish a body building goal.

I just got back from being underway for six months and i lost a total of 40lbs. I weighed 198lbs in this pic.
I weight 195lbs in this pic and i think i still look the same after about a year. I tried to cut up a little more. tell me what you think.
Today was supposed to be cardio day, but i couldn't resist the urge to lift some weights. So i did shoulders to get in a good lift. I started with dumbbell overhead presses.
warmup 35lb 15 reps, and 50lb 15 reps. bumped up to 80lb for 10reps.
My Weeks start out on Wednesday: I will most of the time do 3 or 4 sets of each and i stick with a 8 to 15 rep scheme. depending on how i feel for the day.
Typical routine of mine:
Wednesdya: Shoulders + Cardio
overhead press with dumbells
then i go to an overhead machine, or...
I am going to get in the gym as much as I can and when you get back I hope to make you proud. Just keep up the great work you have beeen doing and come home safe.
Thanks Nicholas, really appreciate the support that all of you have given me. It looks like I got some comp though, gret job man, you look awesome!

Hey guy, your physical development is impressive. Keep up the great work, and hope you post some new pics soon. Best wishes for continued success in meeting your goals. Go Navy!!!
Hey, thanks for your comments about "cheat" days. I've been on the road for the past week and heading into vacation (oh, no, mom's coooking!), so keeping all of this together isn't going to be easy for a couple of weeks. As for the site of the pic: a rock near Virginia Dale, Colorado, just south of the Wyoming border, Hwy. 287. An absolutely beautiful place.
Were on the same track bro - Fourth contest downrange, chalk one up for experience - lowest placing so far but at my heaviest weight so I'm just happy to hold ANY lean mass over 200lbs., it's getting harder to stay lean at this young age and cruiser weight...makes me more motivated to stay consistent! Semper fi, stay on it!
